He Will Tread Down Our Foes

1O God, fyou have rejected us, gbroken our defenses;
you have been angry; hoh, restore us.
2You have made the land to quake; you have torn it open;
irepair its breaches, for it totters.
3 jYou have made your people see hard things;
kyou have given us lwine to drink that made us stagger.
4You have set up ma banner for those who fear you,
that they may flee to it nfrom the bow.

5 pThat your qbeloved ones may be delivered,
give salvation by your right hand and answer us!
6God has spoken rin his holiness:
Or sanctuary

“With exultation tI will divide up uShechem
and portion out the Vale of vSuccoth.
7 wGilead is mine; Manasseh is mine;
xEphraim is ymy helmet;
Judah is my zscepter.
8 aaMoab is my washbasin;
upon Edom I abcast my shoe;
